Dentist Settles whopping claim

Last week dentists settled out of court for a
sedation death.

(source: perfect prescription)

A judge has ruled that Joseph and Laurence Feldman
must pay $3.9 million to the family of a Chicago patient
who died in their care while under sedation for a root canal.
Their future as dentists now lies in the hands of the Illinois
Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

This is a tragic story to say the least. It does not mean
that no one should see a dentist, but if you are going
to get a root canal or other dental work, it might be
prudent to get a second opinion.

BTW, did you know that you can save money TWO WAYS
right now? You can get a Free Tooth Soap®, Tooth Swish,
or Tooth Brightener, with purchase of the same,
and then you can save $$ on dental bills after that!

Lauren Eisenberg wrote that she is saving on dental
bills because she no longer has to go to the dentist
every three months. She writes:

to go to the dentist for a cleaning every 3 months!!"

Cocoa/Tea Factor Tops Fluoride at Deterring Decay

Caffeine-cousin found in tea and dark chocolate proves a potent plaque-and-cavity fighter
    Source: Craig Weatherby

Tooth decay is perhaps the most preventable disease plaguing humankind, but there have been few advances in cavity-fighting additives for toothpastes since the end of WW II. But a doctoral student at Louisiana's Tulane University has discovered a natural food compound that beats fluoride's anti-cavity power.
Researchers in Japan reported that cocoa bean husks and water-soluble cocoa extracts suppress decay-causing bacteria and plaque formation, and proposed their use to deter tooth decay (Ooshima T et al 2000; Ito K et al 2003; Matsumoto M et al 2004). Now we know the likely reason why the Japanese teams got results that may prove rewarding to lovers of cocoa and dark chocolate.
